This flour mill, built in 1775, was the main mill in the country in 1858 in terms of its production capacity. Its highly mechanised grinding system enabled to obtain different types of flour or semolina. Such a high performance allowed to supply enough flour to Ferrol and the whole county, as well as to export a substantial sur plus, which was the source of a thriving indus-trial revolution in the county. Years later, this mill managed to power up a paper mill, a textile mill and a copper laminate factory.
